Was to take photos of painted glasses in sets of 4, some with props. To give a realistic but original feel to the images of the glasses which are in themselves each unique, as they are all painted by hand.
We felt it was important to not make it look like a standard product shoot with a stark white background to show the originality of the products, so we have used gradients and even a coloured gel on a product table.
To differentiate each image, the glasses were placed in different positions with varied orientations. Some images included wine in one or more of the glasses. Pity I don’t drink wine, it had to be thrown away after the shoot.
The moment I walked through the door I was greeted with a smile and was made to feel welcome.
Nothing was too much trouble, and Moxy gave more than allocated time to photograph my hand painted glasses. I was thrilled with the results and didn’t have to wait long for the pictures.
Moxy also taught me a few photography tricks that I now use when I’ve painted a new design or colour.
I would highly recommend visiting Vinehall studios and would definitely go back in the future.
